Shortly before the new Bavarian wave, before La Brass Banda and Claudia Koreck, the “Weißwurscht is” brought their very own musical style and their idiosyncratic Bavarian-German, positively social-critical lyrics to the people with a wink and a cabaret touch. With this mix and their colourful stage show, the crazy musicians turn every concert into a giant dance party. Starting out as an anarchic singer-songwriter slapstick band, they developed into a polka-reggae band to be taken seriously, with many Balkan-ska-punk influences.
