Wudzdog takes place on meadow and woodland ground: unpaved paths, slopes, and soft going when it rains. Worth planning for.

There is an accessible toilet, and at the MainStage there is a wheelchair platform with a clear view of the stage and room for two wheelchairs.

On request we also reserve a parking space near the entrance and a camping spot close to it – just get in touch beforehand through our contact form.

Yes. If you need permanent assistance, your companion comes in free of charge. Just show your valid ticket and your disability pass with the “B” mark at the entrance.

Yes. You may drive onto the camping area and pitch your tent next to the car; there is no tent-only area any more. Space is limited, so please keep your footprint small or park in the car park instead.

Once you drive out we cannot let you back in – after that you park outside the campsite.

No. Camping and parking are only allowed with a valid wristband, on the areas we have marked out. On the surrounding fields, on private land and in the woods both are prohibited by order of the public order office and the nature conservation authority, and will be prosecuted.

Please stick to this so that we can keep holding the festival in this place.

Camping and parking are at your own risk; we are not liable for damage or for lost or stolen belongings.

No. Without a ticket or festival wristband there is no access to the camping areas.

No, our marshals fill the site in order. As a group, arrive together in convoy, otherwise you will not end up as neighbours.

If friends arrive later there is usually still a gap – but only for a tent. We can no longer let a car onto the camping area at that point; it has to go to the designated car parks outside.

Escape and emergency routes have to stay clear, and we are strict about that.

No. Camping is part of the weekend ticket, not of the day ticket. Staying anyway means using something everyone else has paid for – in that case we reserve the right to ask you to leave.

If you cannot get home, or there is another good reason: talk to us right at the wristband point. We can almost always work something out on the spot – but beforehand and in person, not quietly afterwards.

No. You have left the campsite so clean in recent years that we do not charge one. Thank you for that – please keep it up.

Should that ever change, we will announce it well before tickets go on sale.

Nothing on top. Camping, parking and site fees are included in the ticket price.

The most important one: always keep escape and emergency routes clear so the paramedics can get through.

• Sound systems and megaphones
• Generators and fridges
• Beer kegs over 5 litres
• Open fire, fireworks, sky lanterns, liquid firelighters
• Furniture, building materials, laser pointers
• Weapons under § 42a of the German Weapons Act, above all one-handed knives and fixed knives with a blade of 12 cm or more
• Illegal substances under German drug and medicines law

Jam sessions and get-togethers are very welcome – just be considerate towards your neighbours and towards nature.

The campsite opens on Thursday at 9 am. We ask you to leave the site by Monday noon.

Campervans and caravans have their own areas, with room to pitch a tent alongside. Our marshals will show you where to go.

If you travel in a group of vehicles, please queue together – we cannot guarantee neighbouring spots for latecomers. Directing everyone has to go quickly so the main road into the village stays clear. And please park compactly so everybody fits.

On the campsite yes, in the infield no.

Dogs have to stay on the lead everywhere on the site. Keep in mind that noise, heat and crowds are stressful for animals – shade, water and a quiet spot are essential.

Assistance dogs are welcome everywhere.

Yes. Wudzdog is an open air festival and happens in any weather. Bring a rain jacket and sturdy shoes, the ground can get muddy.

Only acute danger, a thunderstorm for example, makes us interrupt the programme. We decide that on site and tell you via announcements, the website and social media.

Every pair of hands is welcome: build-up, entrance, bar, info point, tear-down. Get in touch through our contact form under “I want to help”, or write to helfer@wudzdog.de.

You get free entry on the day you help – three shifts or more and the whole weekend is on us – plus food and a few extra helper goodies.

Yes — our schedule is an app, with nothing to download from a store. Open it in your browser and pick “Install as app”, and it sits on your home screen like any other app.

You can star bands as favourites, get a reminder 30 minutes before they play, and export your plan to your calendar. Best of all it works offline — and mobile signal in Dornstadt is practically gone once the festival starts.

It can happen. By entering the grounds you agree that we may photograph and film you and that we, or third parties such as photographers, social media agencies or exhibitors, may publish that material.

You can object. Our privacy policy explains how, and who to contact.

You may not bring your own glass into the infield – bottles included. We still serve in glass tankards: there is a deposit on them, which you get back when you return the tankard to the bar. The tankards stay on the grounds.

Sealed water bottles up to 0.5 l are fine, and medication or baby food at any time.

On the campsite your own glass is allowed. Still, please leave it at home if you can: broken glass in the meadow is a real problem for animals, barefoot walkers and the farmer.

Never bring weapons or items covered by § 42a of the German Weapons Act – above all one-handed knives and fixed knives with a blade of 12 cm or more – plus fireworks, sky lanterns, laser pointers, drones, torches, open fire and illegal substances.

What to leave at home is listed under “What is not allowed on the grounds?” and in the camping rules.

The infield is open:

• Thursday 5 pm – 4 am
• Friday and Saturday 10 am – 4 am
• Sunday 9 am – 3 pm

In between, the infield is closed – you can of course stay on the campsite. The campsite opens on Thursday at 9 am and closes on Monday at noon.

Only at the wristband point at the crossroads. That is where we scan your QR code and hand you your band – nowhere else, not at the campsite entrance and not at the bar.

Plan that stop into your arrival: without a wristband you get into neither the infield nor the camping areas. The site plan shows where the wristband point is.

We fill up from the front, close to the grounds, towards the back.

Arrive very early and you are near the stages, with music until 4 am. From Thursday afternoon onwards you are pitched considerably further away, and it is quieter.

Trains and buses take you as far as Nördlingen, Oettingen or Wassertrüdingen. You will find connections on bahn.de.

For the last few kilometres to Dornstadt, a lift share or a taxi works best – taxi numbers are posted at the stations.

No. At our size that is currently not something we can run sensibly. We are keeping an eye out, though.

We cannot let you in before that, so please plan your journey accordingly.

Loading and unloading is only possible in the car park. The access and emergency routes are narrow and have to stay clear at all times under our safety plan – during arrival as well.

There is no luggage transport. You usually will not need one: with a valid ticket for everyone in the car you can drive straight onto the campsite.

Parking and camping are included in the ticket price. Our marshals and the local fire brigades will direct you – please follow their instructions, the access and emergency routes are narrow.

Parking on the surrounding fields, on private land or in the woods is prohibited by order of the authorities and will be penalised.

If we have to interrupt or stop the festival because of storms, severe weather or other force majeure, please follow the instructions of our team and the security staff – over the PA, at the stages and on the campsite.

Always keep escape and emergency routes clear so that emergency vehicles can get through.

Our first aid team is stationed at the upper emergency exit and is there for you around the clock. You can also approach any of our security staff at any time and they will take you there.

No. It is best to leave valuables at home or keep them on you.

There are no shower cubicles. Every year we lay out a hose with refreshingly cold water – for a proper cool-down there is the Stöckenweiher pond next door.

Please use only biodegradable soap and shampoo: the water goes straight into the meadow.

Yes, at central spots – at the far end of the campsite and at the signpost towards the grounds. Water is free there; a canister of your own, ideally with wheels, is worth it given the distance.

The water is not certified as drinking water, so consume it at your own risk. You can wash your hands on the grounds at the basins next to the mobile toilets.

There is no charging station – bring a power bank. And if that runs out: very friendly neighbours on the campsite. 🙂

Payment is in cash. Some stalls accept cards, but do not count on it – once the festival is running there is practically no mobile signal.

The nearest cash machine is in Auhausen. Bring enough cash and keep it somewhere safe.

Lost property is handed in and collected at the main bar.

Honestly: poor. Once the festival is running there is practically no signal.

The site plan still helps: “Where am I?” puts you on the plan by GPS, which needs no network. Under “My places” you can save your tent or a meeting point, and the plan later shows you the distance and direction to it. A place can be shared as a grid square plus a link – at a pinch you can read that out or send it by text.

Also install our schedule as an app before you set off; it works offline. And agree on fixed meeting points, it saves a lot of searching.

The market has food, drinks and handmade things from our stallholders – you can see who is coming on our market page.

Anything they do not have, you will find in the supermarkets in Oettingen or Wassertrüdingen.

Yes, the Stöckenweiher pond is right next to the grounds. The water rescue service is there during the day, but you still swim at your own risk.

Yes, the surrounding villages have guest houses, hotels and holiday flats. There is no shuttle to the festival, though, so plan the journey yourself.

The Ries is ideal for hiking, cycling, bouldering, climbing and canoeing.

Worth seeing are the historic towns of Oettingen and Nördlingen – and the Ries Geopark itself: the crater was left by an asteroid impact more than 14.5 million years ago, and the landscape still shows it.

Yes, day tickets go online at the latest two months before the festival. They do not include camping.

Transfers run through Infield: there you can move your ticket to whoever comes in your place.

You can also cancel free of charge up to 7 days before the festival, again through Infield, under the conditions listed there – illness, exams or work commitments, for example.

Please pass your ticket on at no more than its original price. We reserve the right to take legal action against resale above face value.

Anyone under 16 gets in free and does not need a ticket. From their 16th birthday, a ticket is required.

Children under 14 are only allowed on site accompanied by a parent or grandparent.

Every QR code is issued once and works once. Whoever checks in with it first gets in – after that the ticket is used up.

So do not post pictures of your ticket, and only pass the code on to people you trust.

Ask someone from the Wudzdog family to order for you – that usually works out.

As long as tickets are left, you can buy at the box office. We announce beforehand on the homepage and on social media whether any are still available.

At the crossroads we scan the QR code on your ticket and you get your festival wristband. Have your ticket ready, printed or on a charged phone.

From then on the wristband is your admission – keep it on your wrist until the end.

We collect personal data when you buy a ticket so that we can let you in even if you forget it.

We store that data in line with data protection law and do not pass it on. The details are in our privacy policy.

The weekend ticket covers camping, parking and the site fee – there is nothing extra to pay on arrival. Children come along free of charge, and anyone who needs permanent assistance brings their companion in free.

The current price is shown in the ticket shop. Day tickets go on sale at the latest two months before the festival; they do not include camping.

No. If you are under 18 you have to leave the grounds at the times set by law – unless you are accompanied by a person with custody, usually your parents.

We do not accept a written transfer of supervision: neither our entrance team nor our security staff could verify it.

Beer and wine-based drinks from 16, spirits from 18. Please have your ID ready.

Children under 14 may only visit Wudzdog accompanied by their parents. The same goes for staying overnight on the campsite.

Unaccompanied, 14 to 16 year olds have to leave the festival at 10 pm, 16 to 18 year olds at midnight.

Accompanied by a parent or legal guardian you can stay past midnight.
