MOLA’s music is the unvarnished antithesis of a rose-tinted world. It parties itself to pieces, drags you along into its inner chaos and dispenses with the usual romanticising glorification of the merciless disorientation that catches up with you after the last cigarette on the way home.

Now the first headline tour of her own. “Nichts macht mich kaputt” (nothing breaks me) is not only the name of the tour and the second single from the upcoming album, but also a mantra. A mantra that not only influences MOLA’s lyrics but is lived in the live show. Sweating, moshing and feeling together. Even where it hurts.

But hey, “nothing breaks me” – or rather: “nothing breaks US”. You are not just a bystander or silent spectator, but part of this empowering feeling of “we”. Temporarily reduced and intimate, only to escalate into iconic 80s “Purple Rain” pathos, MOLA illustrates the emotional chaos that the inner dialogue between the left and right halves of her brain triggers in her.
