“The most Erpf-successful brass band in the world”
With this vision the full-throttle musicians are already in their tenth year on tour. It all began in the tiny hamlet of Erpfenhausen on the Swabian Alb. From initially two brass players and electric bass, a band of six young professional musicians has emerged, which has set itself the goal of carrying its own unmistakable “Erpfen sound” out into the world – with great Erpf-success!
By now the band can look back on a wealth of experience gathered during countless performances on big and small stages, as well as studio and TV productions. The third studio album “drei” was released back in 2019.
“An Erpf-success story” is the name of the current programme, in which the Erpfen brass players tell many musical tales and stories from the life of a provincial band that has set itself the goal of conquering the whole world! Besides new songs, the band’s favourite songs from the last ten years will also be heard in new arrangements.

The air stands still, it feels like 100 degrees and the bass presses into your chest. Not far from the stage an older man in a suit squeezes in between teenagers and dances with his eyes closed as if there were no tomorrow. It is downright impossible to escape the impulses of the music. A mother with her child in her arms gives herself ecstatically to the vibrations and moves her legs to the beat of the music. The air practically crackles with energy as the crystal-clear saxophone, with a proper run-up, whips the lines up to the climax of the solo.
The crowd goes wild, students accidentally spill their gin and tonic over their trousers and in the flash of the strobe don’t even seem to notice. An incredible energy is in the air, creating an electrifying unity between the colourful musicians and the spurred-on audience. The sweat is running.
