Anyone who thinks of Bavarian music inevitably pictures lederhosen-wearers playing brass music. What you don’t necessarily think of: crisp offbeats, flowing dreadlocks or soulful Bavarian reggae tunes.

With their energetic live shows, UNLIMITED CULTURE have made themselves heard well beyond the classic reggae scene in recent years. With their stage presence, the four musicians around frontman and vocal virtuoso Lenny Souljah manage anew every year to delight the audience with their pleasantly unconventional original compositions in Bavarian and English.

The band’s album planned for 2022 and the accompanying stage show are meant to do justice to this renaissance of dialect. Daring more dialect, more stories from life, razor-sharp social criticism and perhaps even the odd Gstanzl are the cosmos in which the next album moves in terms of content. The first single “Bayerman Style” has already been released and is a perfect foretaste of the long-player. The single became a TikTok hit in no time and has brought the band a well-deserved media boost.

UNLIMITED CULTURE are back in the starting blocks and hungrier than ever to finally stand on the stages of Europe again and give even rusty dancing legs new momentum. (Only the famous and notorious Bavarian grumbling is something lead singer Lenny, a native of Lower Bavaria, won’t be deprived of.) But we don’t want to give too much away.
