ORANGE
Driving basslines, world beat, dance rituals! “Bounka” is the new, most multi-faceted studio album yet by ORANGE and contains everything the band pours out on the dance meadows and dancefloors in rousing fashion.
The elephant is ORANGE’s power animal. On the album “Zen Zero” the stomping force of the pachyderm came into contact with the floating lightness of the butterfly. “Bounka” in turn seeks the connection with the chameleon’s ability to change. What that means can already be heard on the first track: “Sein” – a homage to the miracle of life – surprises musically with blues attitudes and deceleration, without losing a spark of danceability.
Plenty of coal is shovelled into the combustion chamber of the rhythm rocket once more: songs like “Beja Kula”, “Mind On Fire” or the title track “Bounka” burst with energy capable of sending thousands into hypnotic ecstasy.
Mystical sound layers of electronic pads and didgeridoo combine with the globe-spanning web of driving drum rhythms and the instrumental-sounding vocals of voice acrobat “Rainer Von Vielen”.
“Bounka” invites you to a dance on the flying carpet – woven with strands of primordial plasma and guided by the dragon’s cord that once connected the Earth with the Sun.
The elephant stomps and the chameleon howls at the moon:
Dance, dance! Around the fire tree, dance!
