Nordilo

Anyone who thinks only of historical and Old German songs when they hear of the band “Nordilo” is way off the mark.
Since its founding in 2010 as a pure medieval project, the band has opened up stylistically and performs international folk music, medieval rock and songs from five centuries and five continents. Besides the acoustic instrumentation, the focus is also on multi-part vocals and a strong rhythm section. As Ireland fans, the five from Nördlingen naturally also have plenty of Irish brawling and drinking songs in their luggage.

Besides ballads to dream to, the programme also includes mood-making “bangers”; German mixes with well-known international songs and in between there are always titles from the pens of the five Nördlingen musicians themselves. One example is the song “Leut aus Nearle”, which became the unofficial anthem of the Nördlingen town wall festival.
