Funky Times

The young funk band Funky Times can quite rightly be called an internet sensation. Since their founding in early 2020, their virtuoso, funky, feel-good videos have regularly gone viral on platforms like Instagram and TikTok and have led to a wealth of collaborations with musicians from all over the world, such as bassist Henrik Linder of Dirty Loops or former Prince trumpeter Philip Lassiter.

That is also how funk legend Candy Dulfer became aware of them: “One of my favourite new bands”, she said about Funky Times and even invited the band to her concert series “Candy’s Choice” in Amsterdam. Groovy basslines meet a singing drummer, virtuoso keyboard solos meet funky guitar riffs. The band from the Aschaffenburg area, in colourful windbreaker tracksuits, simply knows how to get the party going.
