Maximilian Adler & The SPNB

Hof singer/songwriter Maximilian Adler is no longer a newcomer. Nevertheless, things are only really getting going now! Because even if not everything always goes to plan, the man from Hof has been standing on stage with his acoustic guitar his whole young life. And the stage is wherever Maximilian Adler is: within his own four walls, in small punk rock joints, at the pub counter, in clubs, on the beach or at the festivals of this republic and beyond.

Year after year the restless musician heads out across Europe from the Upper Franconian provinces into the wide world. By now it is well over 200 concerts, among others as support for Tim Vantol, Matze Rossi and John Allen. Most often the full-blooded musician is drawn to England. Because that is where he is musically at home. Inspired by musicians such as Frank Turner or Will Varley, Adler writes punk songs carried above all by his acoustic guitar, with strong folk influences. Sometimes driving, loud and powerful, sometimes thoughtful and quiet, but above everything his slightly melancholic and all the more penetrating voice reigns, staying in your head long after the concert is over

After two solo EPs and an album, in 2019 Maximilian found reinforcement in his five-piece full band The SPNB. Since then his great songs, backed with mandolin, violin, drums, bass and electric guitar, have even more punch and are even more fun. At his concerts Maximilian thus manages to tear the audience out of everyday life for an evening, to sing and dance together. In 2022 the band was voted Upper Franconia’s band of the year by the audience at the R.I.O.! club tour, which has since also landed him his own TV documentary.
