A Festival That Only Works Together
There’s no big event company or office staff behind Wudzdog. It’s run by Waldgeister Dornstadt e.V., a non-profit association – and, above all, by hundreds of people who have been putting their time, energy and heart into this very special weekend since 2000.
Because a festival like Wudzdog doesn’t just happen. We build it together. People put up stages and fences, welcome guests, hand out wristbands, pour drinks, cook food, look after bands and string up the lights that make the trees glow at night. People like you.
Join the Crew
For four days, a meadow at Stöckenweiher turns into Freak City – and afterwards, we turn it back into a meadow.
In between, there are hundreds of volunteer shifts. And every single one needs someone. Maybe you?
You don’t need any special skills or experience. All you need is the willingness to pitch in and be part of the crew. We’ll show you the rest.
What You Can Help With
- Set-up & Take-down – Stages, fences, decorations and Freak City itself. These are the days when the festival takes shape – and when we put everything back afterwards.
- Entrance & Camping – Handing out wristbands, welcoming guests, helping people find their way and keeping an eye on the campsite.
- Bars – Main bar, beer garden and Rumpunsch bar. Pour drinks, keep things moving and help create the good vibes.
- Kitchen & Catering – Making sure the crew and bands are well fed, happy and ready for the next round.
- Backstage & Stage Support – At the Main Stage and the Tohustage: welcoming bands, helping with changeovers and getting artists on and off stage.
What You Get
Of course, we give something back for your help:
- Free entry on the day you volunteer – and the whole weekend if you do three or more shifts.
- Food and drinks around your shifts.
- A volunteer shirt and other little crew goodies.
- And most importantly: a crew that sticks together.
Because the best part is something you can’t really buy: standing there when the first band starts playing, the whole place is glowing, and you know you helped make this happen.
