Tropikel Ltd.

With their fusion of 80s pop, indie rap, disco sound, electro vibe and a big dash of feeling, Tropikel Ltd. take up the inner turmoil of Generation Y and heal this conflict with big romantic moments. The three-piece band opens rap up to indie as well as pop and humour with a convincing directness – singing about the most existential topics of our time: love, desire and fleeing from the hip-hop police.

Already the 6-track debut EP “Flugmodus”, released in 2018, which deals exclusively with the topic of love in all its forms and holds song gems such as “Schatzkiste” (feat. Ali Whales) and “Was ich will”, convinced with an exciting mix of atmospheric funk vibes, gentle synth sounds and soft indie rap. Radio stations such as Fritz, JamFM, N-Joy and Mephisto, and it brought the trio into the print edition of Juice as well as various music magazines such as Rap.de, DIFFUS, Rap-n-Blues, All Good and Mzee.com.

The recently released singles “Puls 1000”, “Ich lächel Dich an” and “Polaroid Pic” also send out positive vibes – funky as usual, bright as usual (of course there is no lack of romance) – and show that Tropikel Ltd. are on the threshold of developing from their current status as a real insider tip into one of the most exciting newcomer bands.
